Bootstrapped SaaS Founder · Investor · Mentor

I invest in and mentor early-stage SaaS companies.

I founded SchoolCloud at 15 years old and grew it into a platform trusted by more than 8,000 schools, before exiting to a strategic buyer in 2021. Today I invest in and mentor early-stage SaaS founders.

What I Do Now

Backing founders who are earlier in the journey I've already walked

I invest in and mentor early-stage SaaS companies, focusing on the operational realities of building and scaling a subscription business.

01

Angel Investment

I invest in early-stage SaaS startups, typically at pre-seed and seed stage, where hands-on support matters as much as capital.

02

Founder Mentorship

I work directly with founders on the fundamentals: product-market fit, pricing, sales motion, and building a team that can scale.

03

Operator Perspective

Having built and sold a SaaS company from scratch, I bring lived experience rather than theory to every conversation.

The Story

From a bedroom project to 8,000 schools

At 15, while still at school himself, Robbie and his co-founder built software for room booking in their school. What began as a small side project turned into SchoolCloud, a SaaS platform built for parents' evenings, school clubs & trips and room booking.

Over the following years, SchoolCloud grew into a business serving more than 8,000 schools, learning every function of running a SaaS company along the way — product, sales, support, hiring, and everything in between.

In 2021, SchoolCloud was acquired by a strategic buyer, capping an 17 year journey from teenage founder to successful exit.

Since the exit, Robbie has shifted his focus to backing the next wave of founders — investing in early-stage SaaS startups and mentoring the people building them, drawing on the lessons (and mistakes) from a decade in the trenches.

Today

Investing & mentoring

Backing early-stage SaaS founders with capital, hands-on mentorship, and operator experience.

I built SchoolCloud from nothing, made every mistake a first-time founder can make, and still got to a successful exit. Now I want to help other founders get there faster.
